UCP of Central Ohio plans to attend the annual Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month Kickoff event on March 4, 2010, 10 a.m. – noon in the Ohio Statehouse atrium. This high-energy event is an annual opportunity for organizations within Ohio's developmental disabilities community to raise public awareness of the many abilities that people with disabilities have. The 2009 theme, "Just Like You" continues in 2010, and focuses on peoples' similarities rather than differences, encouraging everyone to welcome people with disabilities into their communities.
