...Life without limits for people withdisabilities...
United Cerebral Palsy of Central Ohio is a private, non-profit agency whose mission is to provide an environment where people with disabilities and aging conditions receive individualized programs and support services.
United Cerebral Palsy of Central Ohio recently hosted the 8th Annual People of Promise Golf Outing at The Lakes Golf and Country Club, raising over $47,000.00 to support UCP’s programs and services.
You’re invited to be part of an important event, a great tradition in Central Ohio. Not only will you and your team be helping to raise money for UCP of Central Ohio, you’ll also enjoy a competitive golf game, a great lunch, buffet dinner, drinks and snacks on the course, and cocktails at the reception. Also plan to take part in our silent auction for a chance to take home gifts for yourself or family and friends. In the past 4 years, this event has raised more than $180,000 for UCP's programs and services. By taking part, you are assisting us as we continue our important mission of advancing the independence of people with disabilities, to enable their full inclusion in life and the Central Ohio community.
It is with great sympathy that UCP mourns the loss of our long time friend Ray Jones. Ray was a truly dedicated activist for the rights of people with disabilities. Ray served as a Board Member for UCP of Central Ohio for six years, after being an employee of UCP. During his time as a board member Ray championed the concept of our Consumer Council and self-advocacy opportunities for participants. Ray felt very strongly about participants having the opportunity to have input over their service delivery.
United Cerebral Palsy of Central Ohio strengthened its ties to the Columbus community on Jan. 16 when it joined the Columbus Workforce Alliance.
The Alliance, established in January of 2003 and comprised of area non-profit agencies, provides help for low-income individuals who are seeking employment or career advancement.
