Why Should I Play In This Golf Tournament?
The answer is simple. You get to enjoy a game of golf on a beautiful course, while ensuring a life without limits for people with disabilities. Not only will you and your team be helping to raise money for UCP of Central Ohio, you’ll also enjoy a competitive golf game, a great lunch, buffet dinner, drinks and snacks on the course, and cocktails at the reception.

Also plan to bid on our silent auction packages for a chance to take home gifts for you, or family and friends. In the past 4 years, this event has raised more than $180,000 for UCP’s programs and services.

By taking part, you are assisting us as we continue our important mission of advancing the independence of people with disabilities, to enable their full inclusion in life and the Central Ohio community.
Why Should I Support This Golf Tournament?
As you may have been reading, it has been a challenging time for us at UCP as we are facing a 56% loss in funding from United Way as they reprioritize their giving in the community.  In response to this we are working very hard to make sure that this loss in funding does not disrupt our programming. 

For over 50 years, our mission has been to provide an environment where people with disabilities and aging conditions receive individualized programs and support services. Now, more than ever, UCP must rely on individual and corporate donors like you. You can make it your mission to participate in this year’s event, and encourage your friends, family and coworkers to join you.
There is no cure for cerebral palsy and other physical and mental disabilities. The success of this event directly affects our ability to improve the lives of more than 190 participating adults with disabilities in Central Ohio through our Adult Day and Employment programs located at our agency on the Westside of Columbus and the Reese Adult Day Program in Newark. UCP’s programs offer a social network and a better quality of life to a population who might otherwise live in isolation.

Approximately 88% of our $3.1 million annual operating budget directly supports UCP’s services and programs in our Central Ohio community each year, making us one of the most financially-efficient non-profits in the area. Please visit our website at www.ucpofcentralohio.org for more information.
