UCP of Central Ohio’s 10th Annual “People of Promise” Golf Outing Raises Nearly $30,000

UCP People of Promise Golf outing 2009 United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Central Ohio recently hosted their 10th Anniversary “People of Promise” Golf Outing at The Lakes Golf and Country Club, raising nearly $30,000.00 to enhance the lives of people with disabilities and aging conditions. This year’s outing was a huge success with 120 golfers and nearly 150 businesses and corporations lending their support. The support of companies like Nationwide, Able Roofing, Crane Company, AEP, and State Auto help make this annual event one of Central Ohio’s best.

During the reception, one individual and two corporations were awarded this year’s CHAMPION OF PROMISE Award. The award recipients were UCP’s Executive Director, Kathy Streblo, ICC, and TEKsystems. The CHAMPION OF PROMISE Award was created to honor and recognize an individual or corporation who has supported UCP of Central Ohio either financially or with their time and talents for a significant period of time. The award demonstrates UCP’s appreciation to individuals and companies who exemplify philanthropy, volunteerism, and advocacy; support UCP’s mission and vision; and serve as a role model and mentor for our staff and participants.
